Birthday in Bermuda!

I just got back from my FINAL visit to Bermuda....that means the boy will be home NEXT WEEKEND! at the end of the month. Now that I've said that...this past weekend was one of the best weekends! I went to Bermuda to see my boyfriend but to also celebrate my 28th {which was last Wednesday}! We did so much! Friday he had to work, but lucky for me there is a pool in his backyard so I took full advantage, even though the weather wasn't amazing! Friday night we headed out for a Birthday dinner at one of the best seafood restaurants on the island, Barracuda Grill, then off to Elbow Beach for some beach side martinis! Saturday the weather was BEYOND perfect and Jeff surprised me with a boat rental for the day! We did some snorkeling and found a beach that we had all to ourselves! What more could you ask for?! We ended the night off with dinner and drinks on the beach and a bonfire! Such a perfect weekend!*

Easter in paradise!

Who wouldn't want to wake up to this on a long weekend?! Amazing right? This post is a little late but I've been busy! Easter weekend in Bermuda was so fun! The weather was perfect {as usual}, the water was warm{ish} and the drinks were cold! Good Friday in Bermuda is always a big deal with a Kite Festival on Horseshoe Bay Beach! Endless dark and Stormys' and and fish sandwiches! We were able to cook a somewhat traditional Easter meal on Sunday and just enjoy having 4 full days together! Oh and we also stayed at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess for a night and had expensive martinis! Here are a few more snaps from the weekend!*

a little trip to Bermuda

As I mentioned my boyfriend is currently living in working in Bermuda for 3 months....it's bitter sweet of course! He's gone but I get to visit FOR FREE!  My last trip was only for 30 hours but it was so much fun! Bermuda is beautiful and only 2 hours from Toronto!!! My next trip {at Easter} is for 5 days which I am so excited for! Here are a few snaps from my quick little visit!*

MEXICO!!

Once the temperatures hit -45 in Toronto this winter we decided we need to get to the sun. I've always wanted to go to Mexico so we booked a trip to the Mayan Riviera for a week of relaxation and warmth! We chose to stay at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Hotel and Spa it was beautiful! The resort itself is technically two resorts in one. There is no difference between the two, you can use all the amenities and there really was no separation other than two of everything....which was nice for a change of scenery every now and then. I have NO complaints about this resort and would 100% visit again! Here are a "few" snap shots!

weekend snaps!

This past weekend my boyfriend and I ventured off to Detroit. Not the most beautiful and safe place to be heading to but... it was his birthday...concert tickets were purchased...so Detroit! I really only have one thing to say about Detroit.....culture shock. People think Toronto is dangerous. I feel 1000 times safer here than I would ever feel in Detroit. The city is totally bankrupt and abandon. Buildings are falling apart businesses have totally relocated to other parts of Michigan and I didn't feel safe walking to my valet parked car, let alone walking downtown to the concert. But it was such a super fun weekend...our hotel room was amazing we stayed at the Motor City Hotel and Casio {felt like a mini Vegas}....with terry cloth robes, a mini bar, room service and a huge sunken bathtub.... I didn't leave the room except to go to the concert! Here are a few IPhone snaps!*

I did!

have to love the $10.00 magnum....!
