12 Days of Favorites*: Day 5

We got a new puppy!

Effy was a huge impulse purchase! I was bored at work one day and was searching puppies on Kijiji, just to see what was available. The next thing I know, I'm holding a 3 week old puppy and naming her! {FYI - don't just go "look at" a puppy because you WILL leave with one!} The past 4 months have been so much work training her, but it's so worth it! She's amazing and obviously the cutest!*

12 Days of Favorites*: Day 6

San Francisco, California

Back in September Jon and I went to San Francisco on a little post summer vacation {I basically forced us to go to see Dave Matthews, but minor details!}. Both of us had never been to California, and everyone I have ever talked to has loved the city, so I was so excited to go! I fell in LOVE! I'm very much a beach, sun and warmth kinda girl {San Fran isn't THAT warm} but having the ocean and beaches right at your finger tips did it for me! The city is amazing, exiting and full of life! There is always something going on, always a happy hour somewhere to ease the pain of walking up those huge hills {you'll definatly get a leg work out} the tolly's make you feel like your DJ Tanner in the opening scene of Full House, and Santa Cruz has the best fish tacos you'll ever eat {well worth the trip!}. Here are a few IPhone snaps from our trip!*

Bath & Body Works: White Barn - Pineapple Mango 3 Wick Candle

I've said it before and I'm saying it again, I LOVE Bath & Body Works 3 wick candles! There are so many delicious scents to choose from and when they go on sale 2 for $20 I can't resist picking up 4....! Currently my favorite is the Pinapple Mango, I'm not sure if it's suppose to smell Christmasy, but to me it does! They burn for 30 - 45 hours which is amazing and the scent is just enough to make my whole apartment smell amazing! I also recently picked up a silver snowflake candle sleeve {$5.00 each} and I love how it adds a touch of Christmas to any candle!*

12 Days of Favorites*: Day 8

Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C Clutch

I had been coveting this Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C Clutch since I saw it posted on Lauren Conrad's blog {also mentioned here}. I would go to Holts and humm and haaaa over it, what colour I wanted, what size, it became a mini obsession. Then, when I went to San Francisco back in September I was praying Macy's or Bloomingdale's would have it on sale or at least cheaper....and Bloomingdale's came through! Normally this bag is $295, Bloomingdales had it for significatly cheaper {I cannot rememeber exact pricing} and since I signed up for a Bloomingdales Card I got an additional 30% off, which brought the price down around $165!! I was sooooo thankful I waited! I got the bag for such a steal! You can always count of Bloomies for having great sales!

I really wanted black, but I always want black, so I took a risk and bought this amazing matte purple! Such a great choice especially for summer, and I feel I can still pair this with some winter outfits since the purple isn't too bright! I really love all of Rebecca Minkoff's bags and accessories, their so versitile, well made and orginal looking! Do you own a Rebecca Minkoff?*

Etsy

In a recent post {here} I mentioned that I've become totally obsessed with Etsy! I find everything on the site so amazing, original and well priced! Lately I've done most of my Christmas shopping through Etsy so my friends and family could have essentially one of a kind pieces and items! I have yet to have a bad experience from a shop owner, all my orders have been shipped out and delivered within 7-10 business days, and all the owners I have worked with have been very accommodating, patient and helpful!

Here are my two favorite shops on Etsy!*

12 Days of Favorites*: Day 10

Glitter Ombre Nails

If your like me and have little to no artistic abilities this is such an easy way to add some flare to you nails! I'm a HUGE fan of sparkle so I love this idea especially for the Holidays! From my experience the best brands for Sparkle Polish to use are: Essie, Sephora for OPI and Deborah Lippmann.*

12 Days of Favorites*

Wow, a year has gone by already! I can't believe it! I thought it would be fun to bring back the 12 Days of Favorites this year! I feel I have been majorly slacking with my blogging lately, so this will be a good chance for me to share some amazing products, places and things I have discovered over the past year!*

Day 12

Everyone has told me that Tea Tree Oil is amazing for problem skin, and instantly clears up any blemishes or redness. While browsing Rocky Mountain Soap Company for some Christmas gifts, I discovered an amazing little thing called the “Breakout Buster”. The Breakout Buster is a combination of natural and therapeutic ingredients that help calm and relieve acne, cold sores and even bug bites! This little stick is jammed with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients and essential oils, including Tea Tree Oil {see complete list of ingredients here} that help combat breakouts. Use is easy! Apply 3 – 4 times a day to a freshly washed and dried face and that’s it! BAM blemishes GONE! For $9.50 you can’t go wrong with a 100% natural product that provides amazing results!

If I find my skin is getting bad, I like to pair this product with The Glacier Mud Mask with Tea Tree Oil {$7.50} also from Rocky Mountain Soap Company!*

Friday Favorites*

Its FRIDAY!!!  The work week is finally over {or almost over for some of you!} Here are the top 5 products I saw/purchased this week! Today I have a make-up consultation at Holt Renfrew, to learn how to properly apply the make-up I own!  I'm super excited about it! I've never had a professional teach me about make-up application before, I just learn as I go or through blogs that you guys have! I will definitely post about how it went and what I learned this weekend!  Have a wild weekend everyone!!*

12 Days of Favorites*: Day 1

Clothing Swap Parties

One woman's junk, is another woman's treasure!  My girlfriends and I started having clothing swap parties a few years ago. It was an amazing chance to a) get rid of clothes we had for years {and obviously never wore} b) to swipe pieces from each other that we love and secretly always admired c) to donate what we didn't swap/want anymore to the local women's shelter and d) it was an amazing excuse to get together and have some fun! The most recent swap was my going away party the week before I moved to Calgary. I basically purged my room of everything I didn't think was necessary/important to bring, invited the girls over for Caesars and food and basically let them loose on all my stuff! I made them all promise to not let me take a thing from their piles {and with much self-control...I didn't!}. It's amazing the hilarious items that end up at these swaps, clothes always surface that either or mother's wore or we wore and thought were 'cool' in middle school! Trying them on again is always the best part of the night!*
