Friday Favorites!

Friday! These past few weeks have been so busy I haven't got a chance to post...! BUT...I got a lot accomplished around the house and in life! I finally received all my shot glasses from out west, so we attempted to hang those up on floating shelves... {photos to follow later}, we painted the wall in the kitchen with chalkboard paint which I'm so excited about... but you have to wait 3 days for it to dry, so once it's completely finished.... photos! I got some Christmas shopping started, and even started decorating the condo! The balcony is basically a Griswold Christmas compared to all other  balconies! Easter Eggs!

Easter is just around the corner I can't believe it! We are heading out of town this year to a condo in Banff so I'm not going to do too much decorating. But my favorite part of Easter as a kid was obviously the Easter egg hunt, but I loved and still do love decorating Easter eggs! I was always trying to find creative and unique ways to make my Easter eggs look amazing....adding glitter, using wax to draw and write, using tape to create stripes and zig zags, thanks to Pinterest {follow me here} I found these amazing ideas to make your Easter eggs stand out! How to Style Your Coffee Table!

My coffee table is the hub of our apartment, it's where everyone gathers! It's always in use whether we are eatting dinner, watching TV, playing board games or working on the computer. I try to keep it looking nice {at all times} but....it's next to impossible. I love this video that Emily Schuman over at Cupcakes and Cashmere posted on how to style your coffee table!*

Home Decor!

It's been about 5 months since we moved into our new apartment, and things we had in our old apartment don't really go in the new one. I refuse to paint the walls because painting them back when we move out is the worst, so I'm trying to find easy ways to add colour to our rooms.

I have been on a mad hunt for a new duvet cover. At first I wanted white....then we got a puppy and I decided that, that was probably not a great idea! So, I went on the West Elm website and found a beautiful purple pintuck duvet cover {shown below}. I fell in love, but with shipping and handling it was just too much for me to spend right now.

So, I headed to the new Bouclair Home store that just opened up in our area, and found a duvet that looks exactly the same for half the price! It looks amazing against our chocolate brown furniture and neutral headboard and walls.

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Today has been a pretty rough Monday...daylight savings always messes with me...and I woke up with a massive head cold! {not a great way to start of the week} But I did have a very productive weekend! I did a lot of spring cleaning and organizing, we had our weekly date night at a Japanese BBQ and did some shopping! This week can't go fast enough! This Friday Jon and I are going to see Lady Antebellum {Jon's first country show!} and we're going to my offices St. Patty's party!

I was organzing my closet earlier today and the whole time I was thinking to myself....I wish I had more room....I wish I had an extra bedroom to dedicate to my clothes...! I can't complain...my closet and storage space has definitley increased in size since we moved here... {which is weird since we now live in an aprartment and I share "half" with the bf}. But a girl always wants more! Here are a few of my dream closets...a girl should only be so lucky...!*

  

Christmas in the Rockies

As I mentioned in older posts, we couldn't afford to fly home for Christmas this year, so we decided to start  new traditions! Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day in the mountains! This might have possibly been one of the best Christmas's I've ever had! There's nothing more Chrismas like driving into Banff National Park and being greeted by a snow storm,  moose and deer all around us and a beautiful chalet with a wood burning fireplace!
