Nude Lacquer for Spring
Nude Lacquer for Spring by vodka-caviar
I have been on the hunt for the perfect nude nail polish for awhile....some are too dark for my skin tone some are too light. It's hard to find the perfect colour! After many {failed} attempts I think I have finally found a few choices that I think will work! Last week Shoppers Drug Mart had a buy 1 get 1 free nail polish special so I invested in Essie Topless & Barefoot and Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Pink Slip....so far so good! I have heard rave reviews about Topless & Barefoot so I was super excited to try it out...as well as Ballerina Slippers {which is always sold out}! Sometimes you just want something subtle on your nails! What are your favorite nude colours? What ones do you recommend?!*

Spring Favorites
As I've mentioned in previous posts, nail polish is one of my favorite accessories...! It's one of the easiest ways to add colour to an otherwise neutral outfit. I pretty much purchase a new nail polish every time a new collection comes out, or whenever I go to the salon.....it's a horrible but wonderful addiction! Below are my favorite colours for spring.
"Charged Up Cherry" is my #1 favorite spring/summer colour, I wear it all the time and usually don't rotate my colours during the summer because I love it so much! BUT....when I feel like a change {or run out} the other 4 colours shown below are my alternative go to's! What's your favorite spring/summer colour?!*

12 Days of Favorites*: Day 7
Nail Polish
Everytime I walk by a salon or make-up store I can't resist going in and decorating my fingers with at least 5 or 6 different colours at a time! I pretty much always end up buying 1 or 2 {I can't help it!} I think I'm addicted {my collection is nearing the 50 mark}. I think painting your nails is such an easy way to add something to your everyday outfits and I also find it a relaxing "me time" activity to do when I'm bored on a Sunday afternoon, watching T-V or talking on the phone! My favorite brands are OPI for Sephora and Essie. I find they apply very easily and evenly and also dry fairly quickly {I also love using the OPI quick drying drops seen on my blog here and available here}!*

Stuff You'll Love
You'll Love: OPI Quick Drying Drops
Whenever I pick up and magazine I {like every other girl on this planet} find myself drooling over the expensive products they recommend you buy. Sometimes I cave and buy them. But most of the time I opt for the less expensive but equally satisfying alternative. So I thought I would post the products I love and that I buy on a regular basis. These are all things I think are worth spending your time and hard earned money on, and I think you will love as well! *
I am a nail polish addict. Every time I walk into a store that sells OPI or Essie I treat myself. I've always hated the tedious task painting my finger nails though. Waiting for the paint to dry was annoying. You always want to do stuff immediately after you paint your nails...apparently it's crucial to open that jar, or change your top. Then I found OPI Quick Drying Drops at Sephora. This product is fast and amazing! I've tried other "quick drying" top coats or polishes, that don't actually dry quickly.
The bottle instructs you to wait 1-2 minutes after you've applied your second coat of polish for best results. I highly suggest you follow this...the product is a miracle worker but went paint is wet paint. Apply one - two drops, and a patient wait of a WHOLE 2 minutes... and TADA dry nail polish! As an added bonus the drops include vitamin E and jojoba oil that help keeps your nails in great condition.
I've been using this product for 3 years now and will never stop or turn back. The bottle is small {3oz} but lasts about 3 - 4 months (depending on how often you change your polish colour). I usually stock up whenever I head to Sephora. Trust me. You will want try this. Painting your nails will never be the same.
