Bridal Shower Gift Ideas!

I'm getting to that point in life where my friends are starting to get married, which is obviously super exciting BUT I'm not 100% sure on the "traditions" and "rules" when it comes to gift giving at bridal showers and even the wedding! This coming Thursday I am attending a bridal shower for one of my closest friends! The kicker is she lives in Vancouver and the shower is taking place in Toronto {while she is visiting for another wedding} and the gift I give her needs to be small enough to pack in her suitcase but personal and more unique than a gift card! So I started thinking of cute ideas that I would love to receive....and started searching the internet for ideas! Here is what I found!

I actually ended up getting her the Kate Space new york Say Yes "Mrs" necklace! I'm super excited about it and I really think shes going to love it! It's simple and understated but classy and chic! I'm really excited to give it to her!! {hopefully she doesn't read this....shhhhh!}*

hello 2014!

Now that the total craziness of the holidays is over I think I can now try to focus on blogging more frequently! The holidays are such a crazy time for EVERYONE! Your eating, drinking and driving {not at the same time} all over the place to see people you love and miss! I hope everyone had an amazing and {hopefully} relaxing  holiday and that Santa was good to you! I had a solid 9 days off from work which was amazing! I didn't feel like I had to rush rush rush and I could take my time getting places and wrapping presents! It was nice to be able to spend the holiday's back in Ontario for the first time in 2 years! I missed getting together with my girlies and maybe having a bit too much wine...or waking up on Christmas Morning in my parents house.... so weird! Here are some snap shots of the past few weeks! I'm planning on doing a holiday gift round up a bit later! Happy 2014! Here's to new beginnings and happy changes!*

My coffee table is the hub of our apartment, it's where everyone gathers! It's always in use whether we are eatting dinner, watching TV, playing board games or working on the computer. I try to keep it looking nice {at all times} but....it's next to impossible. I love this video that Emily Schuman over at Cupcakes and Cashmere posted on how to style your coffee table!*

Bath & Body Works: White Barn - Pineapple Mango 3 Wick Candle


I've said it before and I'm saying it again, I LOVE Bath & Body Works 3 wick candles! There are so many delicious scents to choose from and when they go on sale 2 for $20 I can't resist picking up 4....! Currently my favorite is the Pinapple Mango, I'm not sure if it's suppose to smell Christmasy, but to me it does! They burn for 30 - 45 hours which is amazing and the scent is just enough to make my whole apartment smell amazing! I also recently picked up a silver snowflake candle sleeve {$5.00 each} and I love how it adds a touch of Christmas to any candle!*

Recent Etsy Purchase!

Lately I have become totally obsessed with Etsy, which is weird because I really don't like purchasing things online. I'm so indecisive that I usually end up returning 80% of things I buy, but I'm really making an effort to go with my first instinct and not to over think my decisions too much. So, with that being said, I bit the bullet and bought some new decorative pillow covers for our couch. They are exactly what I wanted, and exactly what I could not find in any home store for the past 5 months. 

I found a shop that had 100% positive reviews from their customers. The store is called The Lacey Placey and she specializes in pillow covers and curtains. Below are the pillows I ordered on my new grey Ikea couch!  She has 100's of fabrics to choose from and will customize your order if requested (16x16, 20x20, monogramed etc)! The two yellow pillows are 18X18 in the Ribbonesk fabric $14.50 each, and the smaller pillow is 16X16 in the Belle fabric $14.00 each.  They shipped literally the day after I ordered them, and she was very helpful with explaining the international shipping to me! 

I'm still looking for wall decor/wall decals to add colour to my bedroom, if anyone has Esty suggestions for these items please let me know!*

Life Lately....*

Life Lately....* I just realized that I haven't posted in about 2 weeks...However, the past few weeks have been such a whirlwind. As I've said in previous posts, my grandma wasn't doing to well...and she passed on May 9th. So....the next day I flew home for 5 days. It was obviously not an ideal reason to be visiting home....but I got to spend a lot of time with family, and saw so many friends, my best friend and I got to ring in our Birthdays, so it turned out to be amazing. THEN...it was MAY 2-4 weekend...and that in itself explains why I didn't post at all this past weekend....BUT....to all my Canadian readers, I hope you had a fabulous long weekend and that the weather was as amazing for you as it was for us!
