Bikini or One piece?

This is my current dilemma... rough right? In exactly a month today I will be on the beaches of MEXICO with my boyfriend and best friend! I'm beyond excited to escape the cold and get a tan! However....I don't really feel like I'm "bikini ready". Since January 2nd we have been eating portioned out meals and hitting the gym religiously to feel better and more confident. My current issue is... do I say screw it and prance around in my two pieces that I'm not 100% comfortable in anymore or, do I continue the hunt for a one-piece? Does anyone else find it very difficult to find a one-piece that doesn't cut your legs off in awkward spots? Where can I find well fitting suites?! HELP!

MEXICO!!

Once the temperatures hit -45 in Toronto this winter we decided we need to get to the sun. I've always wanted to go to Mexico so we booked a trip to the Mayan Riviera for a week of relaxation and warmth! We chose to stay at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Hotel and Spa it was beautiful! The resort itself is technically two resorts in one. There is no difference between the two, you can use all the amenities and there really was no separation other than two of everything....which was nice for a change of scenery every now and then. I have NO complaints about this resort and would 100% visit again! Here are a "few" snap shots!

VEGAS BABY!

Wow! What a crazy few weeks this has been! As you all know I went to Vegas for my Birthday with a few friends and it was absolutely amazing! I cannot believe I've never ventured to sin city before this....! Tanning, drinking, eating, tanning....so amazing but so exhausting all at the same time! I feel like I haven't slept in weeks! We stayed at the Monte Carlo right on the strip! It was just the right amount of crazy and relaxed. It isn't as massive and confusing as the other hotels like the MGM and Bellagio which was such a relief {I had enough trouble finding my room daily!} and the pool had NO CHILDREN which was great and there was an awesome DJ and pool games on the weekend which kept things interesting and fun! We also got amazing tickets to Rock of Ages which I totally recommend it was so good, we got guest list to see Calvin Harris DJ at the MGM grand with 10,000 of our closest friends and we walked up the strip to Fremont Street {old Las Vegas}! VEGAS is exactly ONE MONTH away! I'm getting pretty excited! However, I am in desperate need of new bathing suits. Bathing suit shopping is just as horrifying as jean shopping as far as I'm concerned, but I've been working really hard at the gym for the past month and a half and I'm feeling a little more confident then I was a month ago {I've lost 10 pounds!!!!}. Here are a few bikini's I'm considering buying from Victoria's Secret! I love how you can mix & match their suits, it makes investing in them that much more appealing, buying 2 suits can turn into 4 just by switching tops and bottoms! Bandeau tops fit me the best {since I have broader shoulders} and no tan lines! I'm still looking for the perfect one piece....any suggestions!?*

Flare Jeans..?!

So....it's seems like forever since I've posted! The past few weeks have been a whirlwind! I finished up my old job, went home to Ontario for a week {and had a blast!} then immediately started my new position as an Executive Assistant {which I'm loving already!} There are clearly not enough hours in the day for me to post....BUT....since I'm settling into my new job quickly I plan to make posting part of my nightly routine! {I promise!}

Anyways...onto today's post!  Flare Jeans...?! While I was in Ontario I hit up my favorite boutique, DLR and gravitated towards a pair of flare jeans by Cello Jeans. Buying jeans is already a huge and frustrating issue for me! {I HATE jean shopping} I have curves and I find skinny jeans only fit girls that are skinnier, so trying on a pair of flare jeans was somewhat daunting...but as soon as I slipped them on I fell in love! The flare made my legs look so much longer...and so much thinner the way the wash is on them! Once I slipped a pair of heels on I was SOLD! I have actually never loved a pair of jeans more in my life {of course aside from my black J Brands}.
