the perfect beach bag

the perfect beach bag

the perfect beach bag by vodka-caviar

I always have such a difficult time finding a beach bag. I never want to spend too much on it, because I can't justify it's based on what it used for! I want something stylish enough to be able to tote around on the plane or even on day trips. It's such a difficult purchase for me, I really have a difficult time with it! I usually end up taking my free Victoria Secret totes {womp womp}! What's your beach bag requirements? Where did you find yours? HELP!*

Friday Favorites!*

FRIDAY!!!! I was unemployed for long enough that I almost forgot how great it is when Friday finally arrives! To kick off the weekend here are a few of my favorite things I found/saw/ate this week! Happy weekend!*

Black Givenchy Leather Shark Lock Wedge Boots. These are totally amazing and totally unaffordable. With a $1900 price tag I can proudly say I will never own these, but I will make it my winter mission to find a similar style! #swoon

I am so in LOVE with every single piece of art work created by artist Jen Ramos, however they are all sold out which is very upsetting.... but for now you can view the pieces {here}! This style and colouring is exactly what I've been looking for, for the past 3 years.... isn't it always the way?!

This knockout round on the Voice this week was my favorite!

I'm STILL talking about this delicious fish waffle from the Korean market! I may need to go back this weekend and try another flavor!

This amazingly chic and feminine coat I found on Pinterest {here}. The pin says it's from Zara but I'm not able to find it on the site! If you can find it please let me know and forward me the link in the comments section I would LOVE to own this!

Embellished Sweaters

I am loving the embellished sweater trend this fall/winter! I always find wearing sweaters makes me feel frumpy and not very girly. But pairing a feminine embellished sweater with a pencil skirt, a pair of jeans or leather leggings makes wearing sweaters more fun and a lot more versatile! Top Shop, RW&Co, J. Crew and Club Monaco are all offering great styles and patterns to choose from in many different fabrics, cotton/cashmere.  If you're looking for something less expensive Forever 21 and Old Navy also have great styles to choose from! These sweaters are also a great alternative to layering on 2 or 3 necklaces or a bauble necklace that can get heavy by the end of the day. It's a subtle touch of girly and sparkle and I love!*

Delivery!

The thing I don't like about ordering clothing online is there is NO instant gratification! Waiting for my packages to arrive seems like the longest 6-10 days ever! But when it finally arrives on my doorstep it's like Christmas! Yesterday my Lulu's dress order arrived and I'm beyond happy with all 3 dresses I chose! I always get a little nervous when ordering, you never know if the clothing will fit true to size, too small or too big, so with this order I followed the websites sizing charts and measurements exactly and everything fits perfectly {with a minor adjustment to be made}! Below are the items I received yesterday for my trip to VEGAS next weekend {EEEK}! Once the dresses are altered I will post some photos so you all can see how they fit and look!

Double Duchess Mint Green Dress -  $46
The top half on this dress is a little big so I'm going to get it taken in.

LuLu's Exclusive Bow Down Strapless White & Coral Dress - $35

Peek Chic Cutout Black Dress - $41
The hem line on this dress is a little long for me, I'm going to get it raised to just above my knee.

Total including taxes, shipping and duty $139!!! Seriously girls, you can't beat that! Lulu's has a $22 shipping flat rate to Canada....pretty awesome!*

The Look for Less!

I am all about designer products, but lets face it; unless I save for months and months there is no way I can afford a $500 pair of shoes or a $1,000 purse. I'm always on the hunt for the same look but for a fraction of the price, so I decided to share my findings with you! For my first "The Look for Less" post I chose the super cute Metallic Toe Ballerina Flats! There are so many amazing designer options out there Kate Spade, Lanvin and Miu Miu but there are also amazing affordable options out there as well; these Charlotte Russe flats achieve the same look as the Lanvin shoe but for only $23! Some other options can be found at Aldo, Forever 21 and Top Shop. Happy shopping!*

Recent Etsy Purchase!

Lately I have become totally obsessed with Etsy, which is weird because I really don't like purchasing things online. I'm so indecisive that I usually end up returning 80% of things I buy, but I'm really making an effort to go with my first instinct and not to over think my decisions too much. So, with that being said, I bit the bullet and bought some new decorative pillow covers for our couch. They are exactly what I wanted, and exactly what I could not find in any home store for the past 5 months.

I found a shop that had 100% positive reviews from their customers. The store is called The Lacey Placey and she specializes in pillow covers and curtains. Below are the pillows I ordered on my new grey Ikea couch!  She has 100's of fabrics to choose from and will customize your order if requested (16x16, 20x20, monogramed etc)! The two yellow pillows are 18X18 in the Ribbonesk fabric $14.50 each, and the smaller pillow is 16X16 in the Belle fabric $14.00 each.  They shipped literally the day after I ordered them, and she was very helpful with explaining the international shipping to me!

I'm still looking for wall decor/wall decals to add colour to my bedroom, if anyone has Esty suggestions for these items please let me know!*

Recent Purchase: MK Wedges

Wow! It's been awhile since I've posted....but we are in the process of moving so everything is in total chaos right now! BUT I did get to the mall on Friday night with my friend Tamara, and I found these amazing Michael Kors wedges. I originally saw them on a sales girl at Artizia and immediately went to the MK Store to purchase! After thinking it through during the weekend {we need to buy a new couch so I was second guessing myself} I went back on Sunday and picked them up and do not regret it at all! They are super comfortable which always a plus, and they were on sale the day I went back!*

Michael Kors Viola Espadrille {in pink}: $148

Impulse Buy!*

Yesterday I went to the mall to buy some new work clothes for spring! I did do that! But I also randomly wondered into Sunglass Hut to see what was new for spring/summer, and found these amazing Tory Burch  sunglasses! I died when I tried them on and totally fell in love!  Needless to say, they were a huge impulse buy yesterday, but one I don't regret at all!
