Bridal Shower Gift Ideas!

I'm getting to that point in life where my friends are starting to get married, which is obviously super exciting BUT I'm not 100% sure on the "traditions" and "rules" when it comes to gift giving at bridal showers and even the wedding! This coming Thursday I am attending a bridal shower for one of my closest friends! The kicker is she lives in Vancouver and the shower is taking place in Toronto {while she is visiting for another wedding} and the gift I give her needs to be small enough to pack in her suitcase but personal and more unique than a gift card! So I started thinking of cute ideas that I would love to receive....and started searching the internet for ideas! Here is what I found!

I actually ended up getting her the Kate Space new york Say Yes "Mrs" necklace! I'm super excited about it and I really think shes going to love it! It's simple and understated but classy and chic! I'm really excited to give it to her!! {hopefully she doesn't read this....shhhhh!}*

wedding outfit details...

I loved what I wore to Lauren & Ewan's wedding. It was such a fluke that I found this dress. I originally had decided to wear a dress I had purchased from Lulu's for my trip to Vegas, but after chatting with the girls and hearing their choices I decided I needed something a little more fancy. I randomly browsed through RW&CO and found this stunning chiffon and lace maxi dress in coral {here}. As soon as I tried it on it new it was perfect! The price was also perfect...$88! How could I pass that up?! I paired it with a gold clutch {borrowed}, earrings {coach & borrowed} and cuff {from The Bay: $16} and a pair of gold BCBG pumps I had purchased last summer for the wedding we attended in P.E.I.

I decided to get my hair done due to the humidity and the fact that I'm terrible at attempting anything nice with my hair for special occasions! A friend of mine is a hair stylist and created this beautiful side bun for the day!*

a wedding...

Last weekend one of my oldest and dearest friends married her Scottish love! She is only the second from our group to get married and it was absolutely amazing to be able to share in her special day! She got married at Balls Falls Conservation Area in the Niagara Region of Ontario. The setting was perfect and the weather was amazing! The 17 minute ceremony was held in the historic white chapel located directly across the street was the barn in which the reception was held! It was rustic and simple but very romantic and perfect in every way! I couldn't be more happy for Lauren & Ewan! Below are some snap shots from the day!*
