Friday Favorites*

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!! This week went super fast {which is awesome!} Jon finally doesn't have to work on Saturday so we are heading to Canmore and Banff to do some hiking, which I'm so excited about! So I'll have a lot of photos on Monday to show you! And we are going to go hunting for a new apt/house for June, so it's a pretty jammed weekend....! Here are my top 5 favorite things from the past week!

...Phillip Phillips

So...I honestly have not watched American Idol since maybe the Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood seasons, and the occasional audition episode {because those are hilarious}. But a few weeks ago there was nothing else on and I randomly flipped to this seasons American Idol....and died when Phillip Phillips performed "Hard to Handle" by the Black Crowes on the Top 11 show. He instantly reminded me of Dave Matthews {who... if you don't already know is my husband}. His style, sound, the way he holds his guitar and even the way he stands and presents himself on stage is a spitting image of Dave Matthews. So because of this, I have become obsessed with American Idol! All of the contestants in this season, I think, have amazing voices and talent. But being a musician and passionate about the music and putting the music first is true talent, and in my bias opinion, Phillip should WIN!!*

Impulse Buy!*

Yesterday I went to the mall to buy some new work clothes for spring! I did do that! But I also randomly wondered into Sunglass Hut to see what was new for spring/summer, and found these amazing Tory Burch  sunglasses! I died when I tried them on and totally fell in love!  Needless to say, they were a huge impulse buy yesterday, but one I don't regret at all!

Friday Favorites*

Happy Friday everyone!!!!  What a long week! I have a huge need for a caesar right now, but first...Friday Favorites! Tomorrow I'm heading to the mall to pick up a few cute things for spring...that are versatile enough to wear to work and outside of work..! I was browsing the Zara website today and found 5 super cute looks that I think will accomplish what I'm looking for! Hopefully they have these pieces at the Zara I shop at tomorrow!

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

I'm not sure about where you live...but today DID NOT feel like the first day of spring!  It was sunny, but definitely not warm! Apparently it's going to hit the high 20's this week in Ontario! {things like that make me crave home!} But....since I'm not going to Ontario any time soon, here are some cute looks and spring inspired photos that caught my eye!

Monday comes way way too fast...! We had a super jam packed weekend! Friday the Lady A concert then Saturday was St. Patty's Day! The new company I work for throws an amazing St. Patty's party every year! All you can eat and drink all night! It was amazing! The food was out of this world! Each floor of the  venue {there were 4} had a different theme and type of food! There was Sushi, Mexican, Greek and a carving station just to name a few of my favorites! {I didn't take any photos sadly} and of course a martini bar made of ice! Delish!

Friday Night...Country Night!

Friday night was AMAZING! We had so much fun at the Lady A concert! We had perfect seats right at the end of the stage...and no one sat beside us {which is ideal for dancing purposes!} Jon isn't really into country music, but I love it so he was excited and happy to go with me and gave it a shot!

I was most excited to see Darius Rucker! This is the 3rd time I've seen him and he kills it every time! He's so full of energy and sounds amazing, and the best part is he mixes his country music with classic Hootie and the Blowfish songs....it's so fun!

I was kind of worried about Lady A's set, just because their newest CD that their touring is a fairly slow album...BUT... I did not stop dancing the whole show! They played a few slow songs, but the majority was upbeat, energetic and fun!

I love going to a concert and the artists sound just like they do on their album, or better! It makes the concert so much more enjoyable and worth the money! If you ever have the chance to see either of these two artists live....I highly suggest going! It's such a good time!*

Plaid Lovin'

FINALLY tomorrow is Friday! And after 3 months of waiting we get to go see Lady Antebellum! I'm beyond excited! I haven't been to a concert since my birthday last May when we went to see Paul Simon! Country concerts are so fun! The atmosphere is so upbeat and energetic, everyones drinking beer and dancing, it's going to be an awesome Friday night! I'm still debating what to wear! I know I want to wear my cowboy boots {obviously} but I still have to decide if I'll wear skinny jeans or flare....plaid or just a solid coloured shirt....! Today I was looking up outfit ideas and came across some super cute plaid and jean ideas.....these will definitely be an inspiration!
